We have a holiday play scheme which operates during school holidays for 4 to 11 years old. Children must be of school age to be able to use this holiday club. Welcoming children from aged 9 months to our provision, East Thurrock Nursery and Out of School aims to provide a caring environment where children can learn to interact with other children and adults on what might be their first venture away from home. Stimulating play activities help them learn to make friends, take turns, share and negotiate, enabling them to develop to their full potential. We feel that when children are relaxed, safe, valued and having fun it builds their confidence and develops independence, making them happier to learn and of course paving the way for their move to school.
Once your child has started school, we offer a full Wrap Around care facility. This includes Breakfast, After School and Holiday Club. Care is provided from our spaciously designed rooms within Stanford Children’s Centre.
We were Inspected by Ofsted on 4th June 2025 and we were pleased to receive a GOOD judgement.
Ofsted said “Staff understand the well-designed curriculum and provide rich and varied opportunities for children to develop their talents and interests... Happiness and laughter are evident throughout the setting. ”
I hope this guide provides all the information you require, but if you have any queries or wish to make an appointment to view our facilities, please contact me on 01375 683643 during office hours. We welcome visits any day, so please call to arrange a time.

We will offer our children an environment where their individuality is respected and valued. We will actively promote all areas of their development and work towards making them more independent in self-care to ready them for the transition to school nursery and reception classes.
We will do this by providing planned play activities that are appropriate for their age and development and in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
Ofsted said “Staff use their excellent knowledge of children to deliver the care and education they need to prepare them for the next stage in their education… Environments offer a range of ways to develop and deepen vocabulary for all children.“
We offer a community service where parents and carers can leave their child with confidence, knowing that their child will be well cared for.
We are OFSTED approved and inspected receiving an overall good at our last inspection in June 2025. We adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage.
