Children aged 18 Months to rising fives can attend the pre-school sessions available from 08:45 until 11:45 and 12:15 until 15:15. A lunch time club operates from 11:45 until 12:15. Full day nursery is also available from 08:00 to 18:00. With the option to extend to the full opening times.
We have a holiday play scheme which operates during school holidays for children aged 18 Months years to under fourteen years in age appropriate rooms from 07:30 until 18:15. Large secure enclosed outdoor play areas are available for children of all age groups.
Welcoming children from aged 9 months to our provision, East Thurrock Nursery and Out of School aims to provide a caring environment where children can learn to interact with other children and adults on what might be their first venture away from home. Stimulating play activities help them learn to make friends, take turns, share and negotiate, enabling them to develop to their full potential. We feel that when children are relaxed, safe, valued and having fun it builds their confidence and develops independence, making them happier to learn and of course paving the way for their move to school.
Once your child has started school, we offer a full Wrap Around care facility. This includes Breakfast, After School and Holiday Club. Care is provided from our spaciously designed rooms within Stanford Children’s Centre.
We were Inspected by Ofsted on 12TH August 2019 and we were pleased to receive a GOOD judgement.
Ofsted said “Practitioners have a wide depth of knowledge and expertise in understanding how children learn.”
The last couple of years, throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic the setting has remained open with restrictions for parents and staff. The nursery children have remained attending throughout following all Government Guidelines. Working together with parents and adapting to the crisis through strong risk assessment and enforcing policies, we managed to keep the virus out and provide a vital service to those parents that needed it, along with keeping a sense of normal for the young children in our care.
Where we were able to continue with the Out of School Club we did, and this has been able to keep the setting in a position to continue for the future.
