Nursery Fees and Hours
Prices listed are from 1st September 2024 and are reviewed every September. The fees are £22.50 per morning or afternoon session of 3 hours and £3.75 for the lunch club ½ hour. (11.45am-12.15pm)
Additional hours are charged at £7.50 per hour in 15 minute blocks. Parents are billed monthly or alternatively either weekly or each half term for preschool children. Payments can be made by Standing Order, card or cash in the office or through Online banking or childcare voucher payments.
There can be no refunds or reductions if your child is sick or on holiday; this is to keep your child’s place at the nursery secure.
There is Government funding (NEG) available for all three and four year olds, from the term after the child’s third birthday. The funding covers 15 hours per week. For Working parents 30 hours may be available. All 3 Year funding starts at the beginning of the term after the child’s third birthday. This is 1st September, 1st January and 1st April. Exact Dates are determined by the Local Authority funding dates. Extra sessions and Lunch clubs are available and where outside of funding hours are charged at the above prices. Please speak to the managers for more information.
Two year entitlement funding may be available for those eligible from the term after the child’s second birthday, for 15 hours per week. Check eligibility for all types of funding using the childcarechoices.gov.uk website.
Funding for 9 months to 23 months started from 1st September 2024. Parent may be able to claim 15 hours per week if eligible. If you would like to enquire directly to the Family Information Centre to ask if you are eligible please phone 01375 652801, or alternatively this can be applied for online at Thurrock Council or via childcarechoices.gov.uk.
We are unable to “swap” sessions although we will try to accommodate any extra sessions required. They will be charged at the full amount. We require two weeks written notification if you wish to cancel a child from one or more sessions permanently, otherwise you will remain liable to pay the fees.
Please be aware Non payment of fees after four weeks may result in the child’s place being suspended. There is a full Payment Policy which is available for all parents to read and is provided in the Nursery Welcome Pack.

You can arrange for your child to start any time from 7.30am until 8.45am. Additional Hours are billed at £7.50 per hour or part thereof. You will be billed from the closest quarter of an hour before. For example Start times should be booked at o’clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to the hour. This also applies to leaving times after 3.15pm until 6.15pm.
We ask parents to discuss the hours they need as we are very flexible and outside of the 3 hour session times, we will try to keep fees to a minimum.
We do not charge a late fee or registration fee.
We charge late fees at the usual rate where parents arrive late for collection.
Parents are responsible for ensuring children are collected on time and lateness will be addressed if persistent. Times may need to be changed and fees recalculated.

Fees and Bookings for Out of School Club
East Thurrock Kids Club Ltd. have the following payment options:-
All payments can be made in the office by cash or debit/credit card or through online Banking. Standing Orders can be arranged for regular monthly or weekly payments. Standing Order is our preferred method of payment which can be from either a bank account or a Voucher Scheme.
Where Workplace or Government Vouchers (via the Childcare Choices Website) are available, parents must contact the office to arrange the setup of the account.
Occasional Bookings
Where sessions for Out of School care may vary, parents will book as needed and pay for these sessions at the time of booking. These sessions are not guaranteed to always be available as they are on a first come first served basis. All Occasional bookings can only be cancelled with two weeks’ notice.
Continuous Bookings
Bookings are fixed and the sessions are guaranteed, they are still chargeable if the child does not attend. Payment is required for 1st every month unless an alternate date has been agreed. The payments are calculated until the end of the school year or 31st August depending on sessions required and divided by the number of remaining months.
Alternatively, parents can choose to pay the exact amount they are using for each month. Where holidays are needed however, this may result in a large bill throughout the Summer Holidays.
Please note there are no registration fees or late fees. We charge extra fees at the usual rate where parents arrive late for collection. Parents are responsible for ensuring their children are collected on time and lateness will be addressed if persistent.
If your child is due to stay past 6pm, please ensure there is a nominated person who will be able to collect before the setting closes at 6.15pm in the event of a delay.

HOLIDAY CLUB PRICES are calculated as a minimum fixed 3 hours at £13.80 and then £4.50 for each additional hour. Bookings are taken in whole hours. Please see the chart above as a guide.
